The Yarborough room on the first floor is for small, intimate weddings in Doncaster. This south-facing room can accommodate up to 10 guests for a wedding ceremony. Your wedding breakfast can be served here, with guests seated around one large banquet table.

The Chartwell room is on the ground floor and ideal for ceremonies and receptions for 40 guests. The large, south-facing windows overlook the surrounding parkland, allowing natural light to flood in, making the room feel spacious and airy.

The De Lacey room on the first floor can seat up to 80 guests for a ceremony and 50 for a wedding reception banquet. With westerly views over Owston Hall Golf Course, the De Lacey is a popular choice.

The Marlborough suite on the ground floor is our largest function room for ceremonies and wedding receptions, accommodating up to 80 guests. In the evening, we can host up to 100 party guests, and the room’s wooden floor doubles as a fantastic dance floor! For many big weddings, you can choose to marry in here or the De Lacey room on the first floor.

In 2022, the Martin family, a local Doncaster family, revitalised Owston Hall Hotel by acquiring the 32-bedroom estate. Alongside restoring the golf course to championship standards, they aim to bring the hall back to its original splendour and establish it as a premier multi-outlet resort destination in South Yorkshire.
Our dedicated wedding coordination team will be by your side throughout every stage of your wedding planning journey. Frequently Asked Questions
How many guests can Owston Hall accommodate for a wedding?
Up to 80 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 100 for an evening reception. Small wedding packages are available for as few as 2 guests.
Can we have fireworks at our wedding?
Yes, but they must be professionally set up and operated by a qualified supplier.
Can we get married outside at Owston Hall?
Yes, outdoor weddings can take place in the gardens. If rain is forecast, one of our function rooms will be reserved as a backup.
What is your wet-weather contingency for outdoor photos?
The entrance hall, staircase, and all four function rooms serve as excellent indoor backdrops on a rainy day.
Can we use confetti, sparklers or have a photo booth?
Confetti is permitted outdoors. Indoor sparklers and fireworks are not permitted. We can recommend several photo booth companies we work with.
Do you have a preferred supplier list, or can we use our own?
We work with many suppliers regularly, but are happy to work with any reputable supplier of your choice. Proof of public liability insurance and PAT testing may be required.
Can we bring our own decorations?
Yes. Decorations and table gifts can be brought in for storage the day before. Our team can help with simple decor if instructions are provided in advance. Fixing items to walls or ceilings is not permitted. We are happy to work with venue stylists. Owston Hall does not provide decorations or flowers within the wedding packages.
Can we bring our dog to our wedding?
Yes. Your dog can take part in the ceremony and join you during the wedding breakfast. Dogs are welcome in all areas except the restaurant (guide dogs only) and some bedrooms. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
Can we bring our own drinks or caterers?
No. We do not offer a corkage service. All catering, drinks and refreshments must be provided by Owston Hall.
What is your wedding cancellation policy?
Wedding cancellation terms are set out in the wedding contract, which you sign on booking. The fee payable depends on how far in advance you cancel.
Can we have live music or a DJ, and is there a noise curfew?
Live musicians and bands are welcome. All music and noise must end by 12:30 am.
